Advice help and tips – for Water pressure booster pumps

Water Pressure Booster Pump – General Information

Sometime back when I was trying to renovate my garden, I wanted the rockery there to have water circulation. The biggest challenge was to find a water pressure booster pump that will have even pressure of water circulating the rockery throughout the day. After a careful screening of the water pressure booster pump present in the market, I found the one that suited my needs. It did make me realize how important it is to find the right one so that not only the water pressure remains same throughout the day but also there is no wastage of water.

There are many types of these pressure pumps available in the market. Some are electricity operated, some are battery operated and some are even solar power operated.

The solar power operated are the most feasible ones for anyone but they are a bit expensive than the other normal ones. However, their long term benefit is more than others.

The pressure pumps work on the principle of flow control to turn the low water pressure to high and automatic cut out protections in case the pump runs out of water. There are multiple and single stages pumps and they help in different ways to enhance the water pressure.

While finding one to buy, take into consideration the pumping speed that is volume rate of flow which is measured in volume per unit time. Similarly take into consideration the throughput which defines the product of pumping speed and the inlet gas pressure.

A good pressure pump allows strong and even flow of water around your garden and it should suit the garden irrigation system. This means that the pump start as soon as it is turned on and stop automatically until the water is no longer needed. It will remove the variations in water pressure that are usually common with ordinary pumps.

Water pressure booster pump should also be a quite system because noisy system would drive you crazy if your rockery or fountain runs water all day. A good water pressure booster pump has typically a pressure range of 40-50 PSI. It should boost your existing system and it should be easy to install. It should not require an extra pressure tank to boost up the pressure; it should be independent and self manageable. If you going for a solar operated one keep this in mind that in times of a shadow or clouds or rain, it would stop working.
